Anne Numont explores place, perception and memory to reveal connections with local landscapes and communities, personal history and contemporary existence. Made on her studio residency at Primrose Park Artist Studios in Sydney since 2016, this body of work reflects the importance of a dedicated space to nurture curiosity, creative practice and output.

An experimental approach drives Numont’s practice, taking form in stylised renderings, abstract maps and both organic and measured mark-making. Such responses convey patterns evocative of place, the shifting nature of memory and the process of an ongoing dialogue with our surrounds.
