Although there are so many eateries in Chatswood, we always end up coming back to Chatswood BBQ King. The roast meats hanging out in the window always look fresh and superb. Whether you're after roast duck, soya chicken, bbq pork or roast pork, they are all fantastic quality at a fair price.

The best deal however is their Afternoon Tea Set Menu. It is $7 for a main dish and a hot drink (+ $1 for a cold drink). It is available Mon - Fri 2:30pm - 5pm.

Ordered the BBQ Pork and Roast Duck in Thin Rice Noodle Soup with iced lemon tea for $8.

BBQ Pork & Roast Duck in Thin Rice Noodle Soup

The noodles came in a large bowl with gai lan. These noodles were fantastic - I much prefer these to the typical very thin yellow egg noodles that a lot of Cantonese joints tend to serve. The greens were a wonderful addition which make you feel that little bit healthier.

These wonderful chefs here bring out the bowl of noodles from the back kitchen but the expert BBQ chef chops up your plate at the front of the shop where all the roast meats hang. This works out perfectly as the roast meats come out on a plate on the side instead of sitting on top of the bowl of noodles.

The roast duck and BBQ pork here is always good. The locals know it too because I never see this place empty. At $8 for such a fantastic meal, who wouldn't love this place.

Iced Lemon Tea

The iced lemon tea is your typical Hong Kong Cafe type fare but a great accompaniment to the main dish.

They also have a lunch special menu for $12.

For 2 people, the bill only came to $16 for all that fantastic food and a drink to wash it all down.

We also grabbed half a soya chicken for $9.80 take away for the road.
