Igniting the Rainbow:  Poison, Poo and Mad Scientists.

This talk reveals the great change in colour availability beginning with the development of natural colours at the end of the 18^th century.  The discovery of coal tar colours resulted in hundreds of new colours and shades by the end of the 19^th Century.
