Lion dancers on Celebration Day

Chatswood will be a buzz with drumming and clanging cymbals as 3 sessions of epic lion dance performances will be part of the Lunar New Year Celebration Day.

For the first time held on Anderson St, in front of Bank of China, the Lion Dance arena will host two performances. Come early and get a close spot or go upstairs of The Concourse and watch from the level 1 balcony.

12pm - Lion Dance Poles by Yau Kung Mun

The team from Yau Kung Mun will perform death defying feats of acrobatic prowess as their lion dancers make their way around an obstacle course over 2 metres in the air. 

3:30pm - Lion Dance Performance by Qing Fong

Get up close and personal with the lions and dragon from the Qing Fong Dragon & Lion Dance Team while they conduct incredible acrobatic stunts and tricks during their showcase.

7pm - Lantern Parade

The evening culminates at the Lantern Parade where multiple lions and dragons will be part of the action. From outside Chatswood Chase on Bertram St all the way up to Westfield Chatswood on Anderson St, all eyes will be on the colourful performers and costumes.
