About the festival

The prestigious Chatswood Year of the Dragon Festival is an annual festival celebrating Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival. This is celebrated in many Asian countries including China, Vietnam, Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia. The festival usually falls between late January and mid-February, depending on the lunar calendar.

The 2024 festival was held from 1 to 25 February 2024, celebrating the Year of the Dragon. The festival featured a wide range of multicultural events, including the Lunar New Year Celebration Day with lantern parade, workshops, comedy festival, concerts, night markets, and a Soaring Dragon floating at The Concourse and more.
