Join us for an inspiring afternoon of presentations, pitches and networking as teams from the Chatswood Hackathon showcase their ideas and prototypes to business leaders, investors, technology professionals and Council representatives.

In partnership with Willoughby City Council and GEEQ, this event is an opportunity to hear fresh ideas from emerging talent and see how technology could help address local challenges and improve the experience of people who live, work and visit Chatswood.

You’ll hear pitches and concepts exploring topics such as:

• Smarter traffic flow as Chatswood grows: develop predictive models or intelligent management tools to improve traffic flow as population density increases.

• Real-time parking solutions for residents and visitors: create innovative solutions (for example, APIs, integrations with mapping platforms) to help residents and visitors locate available parking in real-time within the CBD.

• Data tools to better support local businesses: design tools to help Council better support local businesses by efficiently aggregating publicly available data (for example, business hours, contact details) from platforms such as online maps.

• Sustainable last mile transport solutions: propose clean-energy or sustainable transport solutions to improve connectivity between Chatswood transport hubs and nearby workplaces or home.
