Lunar New Year Lion Dance performances
Chatswood Chase will celebrate Lunar New Year with traditional Lion Dance performances, bringing colour, rhythm and cultural tradition to the centre.
A symbol of good fortune, prosperity and protection, the Lion Dance is a well-known Lunar New Year tradition that fills spaces with movement, music and a festive atmosphere.
What to expect
On Tuesday 17 February, lion dancers will perform throughout Chatswood Chase, animating the centre with vibrant colour, rhythmic drumming and moments of surprise. Each performance will run for approximately 15 minutes, providing multiple opportunities for visitors to experience the performances.
On Friday 20 February, celebrations will continue with a special Lion Dance performance at New Shanghai, one of Chatswood Chase’s dining venues.
The Lion Dance performances offer a lively and culturally significant way to mark Lunar New Year at Chatswood Chase, celebrating tradition and welcoming good fortune for the year ahead.
