During the Chatswood Lunar New Year Festival, visitors can enjoy a life-size lucky draw game and win vouchers redeemable at participating food and beverage businesses within the Willoughby local government area. This activation aims to celebrate Lunar New Year traditions while encouraging festival-goers to explore and support our local dining scene.

How it works

  • Voucher design: Willoughby City Council will produce vouchers featuring your business logo and name.
  • Selection options: choose the number of vouchers you'd like to offer: 30, 50, 100, 200 or other amount.
  • Product or offer: decide on a free gift that represents your business, such as:
    • One free cup of coffee.
    • One free signature dish.
    • A specialty dessert or beverage.
    • Other unique items that showcase your business.
    • (Offers must not include minimum spending requirements)
  • Redemption period: vouchers must be redeemed between February to April 2026.
  • Important: Submission of an expression of interest does not guarantee participation in the Lunar New Year lucky draw activation. All businesses will be reviewed, and participation will be determined solely at the discretion of Willoughby City Council.
  • Only businesses that meet the eligibility requirements and align with the objectives of the activation will be selected.
  • Only selected businesses will be contacted.

Eligibility

To participate, businesses must:

  • Operate a business with a physical store within the Willoughby LGA.
  • Be able to honour the selected number of vouchers during the redemption period.

Terms and conditions

1. General overview

1.1. The Lunar New Year Fortune Booth activation (‘Activation’) is organised by Willoughby City Council (‘Council’).

1.2. Participation is voluntary and subject to these terms.

2. Eligibility

2.1. Participating businesses must:

  • Operate a business with a physical store within the Willoughby LGA.
  • Honour the vouchers provided.

2.2. Applications must be submitted by 13 February 2026.

3. Voucher requirements

3.1. Vouchers must offer a free gift (for example- ‘One free cup of coffee’) with no minimum spend.

3.2. Generic discounts (for example – ‘$10 off’) are not accepted.

4. Redemption period

4.1. Vouchers are valid from February to April 2026.

4.2. Businesses must honour vouchers during this period.

5. Business obligations

5.1. Provide an accurate gift description and a logo in .png, .jpg or .ai format.

6. Council’s decision

6.1. Inclusion is at the sole discretion of Council. Only successful businesses will be contacted.

7. Marketing and promotion

7.1. Participating businesses agree to promotional use of their logo and offers.

8. Liability and indemnity

8.1. Council is not liable for disputes arising from voucher redemption.

9. Withdrawal

9.1. Businesses may withdraw before voucher production begins.

10. Amendments

10.1. Council may amend these terms and conditions. Businesses will be notified of significant changes.

By participating, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
