Traditional Chinese bird-and-flower painting

Artists will demonstrate ink wash techniques and Chinese traditional flowers and birds on-site painting. You will have the opportunity to get a free gift of artwork given by the artist.

Personalized calligraphy engagement

You will witness the dance of the brush to turn your name into Chinese characters and have the opportunity to get a personalized calligraphy gift with your name and the artist's red seal.

Tai Chi culture performance

Presented by the Australian Traditional Cultural Association, the performance will showcase Chen-style Taijiquan and Taiji Fuchen (Martial Horsetail Whisk).

About Artist

Songshi (Peter) LI, president of the Australian Traditional Cultural Association, is an artist known for his traditional Chinese landscape, floral, animal, and figure paintings. He studied with Peilin Gao, a royal artist of the Qing dynasty, and is known for fusing Australian landscapes with ancient Chinese techniques. He won the championship in the New South Wales Live Painting Competition in 2017. He has held many exhibitions in Australia and received awards for his work, which is sought after by collectors and institutions.
