Bring in good luck for the Year of the Dragon by creating a paper craft lantern. Show off your lantern at the Lunar New Year lantern parade!


Join artist Jayanto Tan to create a Lunar New Year paper lantern at this special school holiday workshop.

Show off your lantern at the Lunar New Year lantern parade in Chatswood on Saturday 3 February. Workshop participants will be invited to take part in the parade. For more information about the parade, please go to the Lunar New Year Festival website.

  • Suitable for primary school students (K - Y6).
  • This event is free of charge but bookings are essential.
  • One ticket for one person only.
  • Parental supervision is required during the whole session for safety and support.
  • Due to the popularity of our school holiday programs, please ensure you can commit to the event before you register.
  • If for any reason you cannot attend the event after registration, please contact us to cancel your tickets ASAP so that we can fill your place.

This event is part of the 2024 Chatswood Year of the Dragon Festival, presented by Willoughby City Council and funded by the NSW Government.
