Performers applications open for LNY 2027 Celebration Weekend

Sunday 14 February 2027 – 10am to 6pm

Celebrate the Year of the Goat in the heart of Chatswood CBD and be part of one of Sydney's most vibrant Lunar New Year celebrations. Across two exciting days, the festival will showcase an incredible program of cultural performances, live music, dance and community entertainment, bringing together thousands of visitors to experience the colour, creativity and spirit of the Lunar New Year.

Applications are now open for local performers and entertainers from abroad to register their interest to take part in the Year of the Goat Celebration Weekend.

If you're a dance school, singing school, music school, big band or cultural performance group, we want to hear from you. Let us know what you'll be performing.

The stage is approximately 3 m x 10 m and is equipped with a full audio system and lighting. If you have a diagram of your setup, that will make our preparations even easier.

We will provide a change room and full PA system for performers and bands, including microphones and audio cables for instruments. Anything we can't supply, you will need to bring yourself.

As performance opportunities are limited, submission of an application does not guarantee participation in the event. Applications will be assessed based on programming requirements, diversity of performances, technical suitability and available performance times. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of December 2026 and will receive a confirmation email with event details, performance schedules and operational information. Owing to the anticipated volume of applications, individual feedback may not be provided to unsuccessful applicants.
